What Makes This Formula Special
HiPP UK Stage 2 is an organic follow-on milk made to sit beside solids. It uses organic skimmed milk, organic lactose, and GOS prebiotics from organic lactose. Metafolin® mimics the natural folate found in breast milk. DHA (13.6 mg per 100 ml / 3.4 fl oz) supports normal brain and eyesight development.
Unlike the Dutch COMBIOTIK line, this UK tin does not include the live lactic acid cultures that make a formula COMBIOTIK.
As your baby starts eating solids, the recipe grows with them. Coming from HiPP UK Stage 1, Stage 2 has more iron (1.0 mg vs 0.5 mg per 100 ml / 3.4 fl oz), more calcium (77 mg vs 51 mg), a little more GOS, and slightly more energy, so it better supports your little one as part of a mixed diet.
Compared with HiPP Dutch Stage 2: Both are organic, lactose-based Stage 2 milks in an 800 g (28.2 oz) tin, and both include Metafolin®. Dutch Stage 2 is COMBIOTIK, with probiotics plus prebiotics. HiPP UK Stage 2 has GOS prebiotics only and English labeling.
Safety, Quality and Animal Welfare
EU-made organic formulas from trusted brands like HiPP follow some of the strictest infant nutrition and organic rules in the world, generally stricter than typical US organic standards. HiPP uses premium organic ingredients and places a strong focus on quality and the welfare of the cows used for the milk.
Every batch goes through up to 260 safety checks, from the raw materials to the finished tin, before it is released. HiPP’s own lab can test more than 1,200 parameters.
Why Parents Trust HiPP UK Stage 2
Families often say this creamy follow-on milk mixes easily and keeps their baby satisfied beside first foods. Several parents also mention fewer tummy troubles after switching, plus fast delivery and helpful support.

How to make a bottle

Preparation for HiPP powdered formulas:
To open the can: remove the tamper-proof clip and dispose of it safely. Open the lid and take out the scoop held inside it. Slowly pull back the foil seal using the tab. To close, push the lid down until you hear the click. Follow these steps carefully. Powdered milk is not sterile, so incorrect preparation can make your baby ill.
- Wash your hands and sterilize all equipment following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Boil 1 liter of freshly run water and leave it to cool for no longer than 30 minutes. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water.
- Measure the required amount of water into the sterilized bottle, referring to the feeding guide.
- Using the scoop provided, add the correct number of scoops of powder. Level off using the scoop leveller. Do not press the powder down. Scoop size: 4.5g. Use 1 scoop per 30ml water.
- Place the sterilized teat and cap on the bottle and shake well until all the powder has dissolved, about 15 seconds.
- Cool to drinking temperature, approximately 37°C (98°F), by holding the bottle under cold running water. Feed immediately. Always test the temperature of the milk before feeding.
Important Information:
- Only use the scoop provided in the pack.
- Do not make feeds weaker or stronger than indicated by adding extra water/scoops, and do not add anything else to the milk.
- Always freshly prepare formula and do not prepare in advance. Use immediately, and discard leftovers at the end of the feed.
- Do not heat a bottle in a microwave, as hot spots may occur, which could cause scalding.
- All opened formulas should be used within 21 days. Never use a formula beyond its expiration date. The expiration date on the formula box/tin is listed according to European standards: day/month/year
- Avoid storing in areas of high heat or humidity.
