Description
HiPP Anti-Reflux (AR) is a specialty formula for all stages, for babies with more spit-up and reflux than usual. Use it as the sole source of nutrition under medical guidance, or later as part of a mixed diet. This formula is made in Germany and comes in a 600 g (21.2 oz) box.
Important: Use HiPP AR only after talking with your pediatrician, and only as long as needed. Do not use it if your baby has a confirmed or suspected cow’s milk protein allergy. The box says symptoms should ease within a few days. If they do not, check back with your doctor.

What Makes This Formula Special
HiPP AR is thickened with locust bean gum (Johannisbrotkernmehl). That natural thickener makes the milk creamier and helps it stay in the stomach instead of coming back up.
It also includes natural lactic acid cultures (L. fermentum), originally found in breast milk, plus patented Metafolin®, which mimics the natural folate found in breast milk. DHA and ARA (13.2 mg each per 100 ml / 3.4 fl oz) support normal brain and eyesight development.
HiPP AR vs HiPP Comfort: AR is the thicker formula for extra spit-up and reflux. Comfort is the specialty option more often chosen for gassiness, colic-type discomfort, or a sensitive tummy, with a different protein and carbohydrate setup. Ask your pediatrician which one fits your baby.
Why it is not organic: Regular HiPP Bio formulas carry the EU organic Bio seal. AR is a specialty medical-purpose formula, so it does not carry that Bio mark.
Safety, Quality and Animal Welfare
EU-made formulas from trusted brands like HiPP follow some of the strictest infant nutrition rules in the world. Even though AR is not organic, HiPP still uses carefully selected ingredients and places a strong focus on quality and the welfare of the cows used for the milk.
Every batch goes through up to 260 safety checks, from the raw materials to the finished box, before it is released. HiPP’s own lab can test more than 1,200 parameters.
Why Parents Trust HiPP Anti-Reflux
We often hear that feeds feel calmer once the milk is thicker, and that babies still like the creamy taste.
If you don't need a thickened specialty recipe, HiPP German PRE or HiPP German Stage 1 are regular organic from-birth options. For gassiness rather than reflux, see HiPP Comfort.
