Description
Is your little one struggling with colic, constipation, or an unsettled tummy? Kendamil UK Comfort Milk is a gentle, easy-to-digest special formula, expertly crafted to support digestive harmony and help manage your baby's colic and constipation. With a soothing mix of partially hydrolyzed whey proteins, prebiotics, reduced lactose, and alpha-lactalbumin, it helps bring calm back to feeding time, reducing tears and encouraging more regular bowel movements. It is also a unique comfort milk with no palm oil, no fish oil, and full vegetarian certification.
Colic and constipation are both common, and both are hard to watch. A newborn's digestive system is still finding its feet, and some babies feel every bit of that. What sets Kendamil Comfort apart are two changes. Firstly, the lactose comes down to 2.2g per 100ml, because some babies handle it poorly. Secondly, the whey protein is partially hydrolyzed, which means it is broken into smaller pieces before it ever reaches your baby. There are two prebiotics in there as well, GOS and FOS, to help keep things moving comfortably. The rest is the usual Kendamil approach, and it is worth knowing. The fat comes from cream and whole milk rather than skimmed milk topped back up with vegetable oils. There is no palm oil at all. The DHA comes from algae instead of fish, which is why the Vegetarian Society has certified it. The protein is 90% whey, with added alpha-lactalbumin, closer to the balance found in breast milk. Nice to know: Kendamil has been a family business in the English Lake District since 1962.
Please note: Kendamil Comfort UK is a food for special medical purposes for the dietary management of colic and constipation. It is not a medical treatment and should only be used under the guidance of a healthcare professional.

A note on where this milk sits. Comfort is meant to be used for as long as your baby needs it and no longer. Many families move on to a standard first infant milk once things settle. Kendamil UK Organic First Infant Milk, Stage 1 is the usual next step. Your healthcare professional is the right person to help you choose.

How to make a bottle

Preparation for all powdered formulas:
To open the can: snap open the tamper-proof clip and dispose of it immediately and safely, away from children. Hold the top of the can with both hands, place both thumbs under the lip, and push up to open. The scoop is held inside the lid. Open the foil seal by pulling back on the easy-open tab, then dispose of the foil.
- Wash your hands, then sterilize your feeding utensils according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Fill a kettle with 1 liter of freshly run tap water. Do not use repeatedly boiled water.
- Boil the water and leave it to cool for no more than 30 minutes, so it stays at a temperature of at least 70°C.
- Measure the required water into a sterilized bottle.
- Using the scoop provided, add the correct number of leveled scoops to the bottle. Use the straight edge inside the lid to level each scoop. Scoop size: 4.3g. Use 1 scoop per 30ml water.
- Place a sterilized teat and cap on the bottle and shake well to dissolve the powder.
- Cool to natural body temperature, approximately 37°C (98°F), by running the bottle under cold running water with the lid on. Always test the temperature on the inside of your wrist before feeding.
