Description
Imagine that magical period when your baby turns one year old! Kendamil UK Organic Toddler Milk, Stage 3 is an EU-certified organic (GB-ORG-05) toddler milk for children from 12 months. It is made in the English Lake District, from the milk of grass-fed organic British cows. Organic whole milk is the first ingredient, followed by organic lactose and organic whole milk powder. There is no palm oil and no fish oil, and the DHA comes from algae instead, so the milk is certified vegetarian. This organic cow's milk formula is the natural follow-on to Kendamil Organic Stage 1 and Stage 2, or can serve as a transition from any other Stage 2 formula.
At twelve months, your child is eating what you eat, or at least forming strong opinions about it. Milk is no longer the meal. It is a cup alongside one, two or three times a day, or stirred into porridge. The recipe steps back with them. Calcium climbs a long way, from 44mg to 74mg per 100ml, and phosphorus almost doubles. Protein, iron and vitamin D all rise. Organic lactose moves up to second on the ingredient list, so the taste sits closer to the plain milk your child is heading towards. Fat comes down, because more of it now arrives on the plate. Some things leave the label altogether. ARA, nucleotides, taurine, choline and inositol are not on this pack, which is ordinary for a toddler milk.
Kendamil Cow Stage 3 Toddler formula has a casein-to-whey ratio of 70/25, like cow's milk, making it casein-dominant. This facilitates an easier transition from infant formula to cow's milk as your toddler's nutritional needs evolve. The scoop changes at this stage, from 4.3g to 4.6g, so keep the Stage 3 scoop with the Stage 3 can.

How to make a bottle

Preparation for all powdered formulas:
To open the can: snap open the tamper-proof clip and dispose of it immediately and safely, away from children. Hold the top of the can with both hands, place both thumbs under the lip, and push up to open the lid. The scoop is held inside the lid. Open the foil seal by carefully pulling back on the easy-open tab, then dispose of the foil.
- Wash your hands, then sterilize your feeding utensils (beaker, cap) according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Fill a kettle with 1 liter of freshly run tap water. Do not use repeatedly boiled water.
- Boil the water and leave it to cool for no more than 30 minutes, so it stays at a temperature of at least 70°C.
- Measure the required water into a sterilized beaker.
- Using the scoop provided, add the correct number of leveled scoops to the beaker. Use the straight edge inside the lid to level each scoop. Scoop size: 4.6g. Use 1 scoop per 30ml water.
- Place a sterilized cap on the beaker and shake well to dissolve the powder.
- Cool to natural body temperature, approximately 37°C (98°F), by running the beaker under cold running water with the cap on.
Always test the temperature on the inside of your wrist before feeding. Use the correct amount of leveled scoops as directed. Using too much or too little can make your toddler ill. Once feeding begins, use the formula within 1 hour or discard it. Do not add food products such as cow's milk to your toddler's milk. Do not re-heat in a microwave. When bottle feeding, do not allow prolonged contact of milk feeds with your toddler's teeth, as this increases the risk of tooth decay. Make sure your toddler's teeth are cleaned each night after the last feed. Use only the scoop provided in the pack. This scoop is 4.6g, not the 4.3g scoop used on Stage 1 and Stage 2.
