What Makes This Formula Special
 

HiPP Dutch Stage 2 is a COMBIOTIK formula. That means natural lactic acid cultures (Limosilactobacillus fermentum CECT5716) and GOS prebiotics work together to support digestion. Metafolin® uses calcium-L-methylfolate, the bioactive form of folate that mimics the folate found in breast milk. DHA supports eyesight. Vitamins C and D support the immune system. ALA omega-3 supports brain and nerves. Lactose is still the only carbohydrate. There is no maltodextrin, added sugar, corn syrup, or GMOs.
 

As your baby starts eating solids, the recipe grows with them. Coming from HiPP Dutch Stage 1, Stage 2 stays lactose-only. Energy moves up slightly (68 kcal vs 66 kcal per 100 ml / 3.4 fl oz). Iron doubles (1.0 mg vs 0.50 mg). GOS prebiotics rise a little. The Stage 2 scoop is 4.5 g, not 4.3 g. One 800 g can makes about 60 bottles of 100 ml (3.4 fl oz).
 

Compared with HiPP Bio German Stage 2: Both are organic COMBIOTIK follow-on milks from 6 months. German Stage 2 contains organic starch, so it is creamier and more filling. Prefer no starch? HiPP Dutch Stage 2 is the lactose-only Dutch option in an 800 g (28.2 oz) can and is usually the better value per gram.

This formula carries the EU Organic and HiPP Bio seals (DE-ÖKO-001). EU Organic is the legal farm standard: organic feed, no GMOs, and EU animal-welfare rules. The HiPP Bio seal goes beyond that. HiPP Dutch Stage 2 uses a one-step mixing method.
 

1. Wash your hands thoroughly. Sterilize the bottle, teat, and ring by boiling in water for 10 minutes.
2. Boil fresh drinking water and let it cool. Do not pour boiling water directly onto the powder, as this may damage the natural probiotic cultures.
3. Pour the required amount of cooled water into the sterilized bottle (see feeding chart for amounts).
4. Fill the measuring scoop loosely and level it off. Add the recommended number of scoops to the bottle. Scoop size: 4.5g (one scoop per 30ml of water). Use only the scoop included in this can.
5. Close the bottle and shake vigorously until the powder is fully dissolved.
6. Cool to drinking temperature, approximately 37°C (98°F). Always test on the inside of your wrist before feeding. 

Important Information:

• Only use the scoop provided in the pack.
• Do not make feeds weaker or stronger than indicated by adding extra water/scoops, and do not add anything else to the milk.
• Always freshly prepare formula and do not prepare in advance. Use immediately, and discard leftovers at the end of the feed.
• Do not heat a bottle in a microwave, as hot spots may occur, which could cause scalding.
• All opened formulas should be used within 21 days. Never use a formula beyond its expiration date. The expiration date on the formula box/tin is listed according to European standards: day/month/year
• Avoid storing in areas of high heat or humidity.
