At this age a toddler is standing more, tasting more, and needing different things from the bottle. Because meals now do part of the work, the feed itself becomes a little lighter, about 60 kcal per 100 ml, while the minerals a toddler needs most stay front and center. Iron matters because the store babies are born with has long run down by now, and milk shares the day with solids. Iodine supports the thyroid, and calcium with vitamin D keeps bones growing as fast as the little legs using them. This is not a newborn formula: offer it in a bottle or a cup, about two or three times a day, beside meals.
 

The heart of the recipe is COMBIOTIK, HiPP's synbiotic combination of prebiotics and probiotics. The prebiotic fibers feed the good bacteria already in the gut, and the probiotic culture L. fermentum, originally found in breast milk, adds to them. Parents often notice less fuss and more regular stools once this blend is in the bottle.
 

With lactose as the only carbohydrate, the feed stays gentle while solids are still new. There is no added starch and no maltodextrin, because those fillers can make a bottle heavier than a toddler tummy needs. The protein comes from organic skim milk, and organic vegetable oils add the calories an active little one burns between bites and play.
 

HiPP also uses Metafolin® instead of synthetic folic acid. It is a natural premium folate, the same form found in breast milk. Folic acid has to be converted by the body first, while Metafolin® is directly available, so a toddler can use it right away for growth and cell building. This formula carries EU Organic plus the HiPP Bio seal. EU Organic is the legal baseline: organic feed, no GMOs, and EU animal-welfare rules. HiPP Dutch Stage 3 uses a one-step mixing method.
 

1. Wash your hands thoroughly. Sterilize the bottle, teat, and ring by boiling in water for 10 minutes.
2. Boil fresh drinking water and let it cool. Do not pour boiling water directly onto the powder, as this may damage the natural probiotic cultures.
3. Pour the required amount of cooled water into the sterilized bottle (see feeding chart for amounts).
4. Fill the measuring scoop loosely and level it off. Add the recommended number of scoops to the bottle. Scoop size: 4.0g (one scoop per 30ml of water). Use only the scoop included in this can.
5. Close the bottle and shake vigorously until the powder is fully dissolved.
6. Cool to drinking temperature, approximately 37°C (98°F). Always test on the inside of your wrist before feeding. 

Important Information:

• Only use the scoop provided in the pack.
• Do not make feeds weaker or stronger than indicated by adding extra water/scoops, and do not add anything else to the milk.
• Always freshly prepare formula and do not prepare in advance. Use immediately, and discard leftovers at the end of the feed.
• Do not heat a bottle in a microwave, as hot spots may occur, which could cause scalding.
• All opened formula should be used within 21 days. Never use formula beyond its expiration date. The expiration date on the formula box/tin is listed according to European standards: day/month/year
• Avoid storing in areas of high heat or humidity.
