HiPP AR is officially not EU Organic certified. The extra processing needed for the locust bean gum thickener does not meet full organic certification. The lactose, protein, and other ingredients still come from organic farming, and HiPP keeps a strict non-GMO standard. This also applies to HiPP Comfort and HiPP HA.

HiPP AR is a complete formula from birth. From about 6 months, it can be part of a mixed diet. It is a specialty formula, not a standard Stage 1 infant formula. After mixing, it is important to let it sit for 7 minutes, then shake again. HiPP AR thickens after preparation. That wait is how the thickener works. If you feed too soon, the formula will still be thin. Because the prepared feed is thicker, some babies need a larger nipple size for their bottle. Energy is 66 kcal per 100 ml (3.4 fl oz). The scoop is 4.3 g (0.15 oz) per 30 ml of water.

HiPP Anti-Reflux Milk preparation instructions differ from those for standard infant formulas. Please follow the preparation instructions written in this nutrition and feeding chart carefully. HiPP Anti-Reflux is a specialty formula and not a medical treatment. Before deciding to use it, we advise consulting your pediatrician.
 

Preparation for powdered formulas:

1. Wash your hands and sterilize the bottle, teat, and cap before use.
2. Boil fresh drinking water and let it cool to approximately 50°C (120°F).
3. Pour two-thirds of the required water into the sterilized bottle.
4. Add the correct number of leveled scoops using only the scoop provided (1 scoop per 30ml water). Scoop size: 4.3g.
5. Close the bottle and shake vigorously until the powder is fully dissolved.
6. Add the remaining one-third of water and shake again. 7. IMPORTANT: Put the bottle aside for 7 minutes to allow the formula to thicken.
7. Shake briefly once more, then cool to drinking temperature, approximately 37°C (98°F). Test on the inside of your wrist before feeding.  Facts

Important Feeding Information:

• Only use the scoop provided in the pack.
• Do not make feeds weaker or stronger than indicated by adding extra water/scoops, and do not add anything else to the milk.
• Always freshly prepare formula and do not prepare in advance. Use immediately, and discard leftovers at the end of the feed.
• Do not heat a bottle in a microwave as hot spots may occur, which could cause scalding.
• All opened formula should be used within 21 days. Never use formula beyond its expiration date. The expiration date on the formula box/tin is listed according to European standard: day/month/year
