Description
Holle Goat Dutch Stage 1 is a delicious and clean Demeter organic goat-milk formula. Designed for use from birth, it can be used as the sole source of nutrition or to supplement breastfeeding. This EU Organic certified (DK-ÖKO-100) and Demeter formula is made with goat milk from Germany and comes in an 800 g (28.2 oz) tin. It is made with whole goat milk, which naturally contains A2 protein.
Goat milk still contains milk proteins. It is not a treatment for a confirmed cow’s milk protein allergy. Always ask your pediatrician first.

What Makes This Formula Special
Holle Goat Dutch Stage 1 keeps the recipe simple: Demeter whole goat milk, lactose as the only carbohydrate, and no palm oil. Goat milk naturally provides A2 protein. DHA comes from algae, and ARA is included (15 mg each per 100 ml / 3.4 fl oz).
Compared with Holle Goat German Stage 1: Both are Demeter goat milks from birth. Both highlight lactose only, biodynamic milk, and no palm oil. Both are vegetarian. The German version comes in a 400 g (14.1 oz) box with German labeling. Holle Goat Dutch Organic Stage 1 comes in an 800 g (28.2 oz) tin with Dutch and French labeling and is usually the better value per gram.
Prefer GOS in a smaller tin? See HiPP Dutch Goat Stage 1. That version contains fish oil, so it is not vegetarian.
Safety, Quality and Animal Welfare
Holle Demeter formulas follow biodynamic farming rules that go beyond standard EU organic. That includes a strong focus on soil health and the welfare of the goats used for the milk. EU organic infant formula rules are generally stricter than typical US organic standards.
Why Parents Trust Holle Goat Dutch Stage 1
Families often say this creamy goat milk is easy to mix and gentle after feeds. Several parents mention it as a clean alternative when cow-milk formula did not sit well. That is still not the same as treating a cow’s milk protein allergy.
Coming from birth? Holle Goat Dutch Stage 1 is the starting formula. As your baby grows, Holle Goat Dutch Stage 2 is the follow-up from 6 months.

How to make a bottle

NOTE: Holle Dutch uses a two-step mixing method.
- Wash your hands and sterilize the bottle, teat, and cap before use.

- Pour TWO-THIRDS (2/3) of the required water into the sterilized bottle.
- Add the correct number of levelled scoops using only the scoop provided (1 scoop per 30ml water). Scoop size: 4.5g.
- Close the bottle and shake vigorously until the powder is fully dissolved.
- Add the REMAINING ONE-THIRD (1/3) of the required water and shake again.
- Cool the prepared formula to drinking temperature, approximately 37°C (98°F). Test on the inside of your wrist before feeding.
Important Information:
- Only use the scoop provided in the can.
- Do not make feeds weaker or stronger than indicated by adding extra water/scoops, and do not add anything else to the milk.
- Always freshly prepare formula and do not prepare in advance. Use immediately, and discard leftovers at the end of the feed.
- Do not heat a bottle in a microwave as hot spots may occur, which could cause scalding.
- All opened formula should be used within 21 days. Never use the formula beyond its expiration date. The expiration date on the formula box/tin is listed according to European standard: day/month/year
- Avoid storing in areas of high heat or humidity.
