Description
HiPP German Stage 3 Bio COMBIOTIK is an organic follow-on formula for babies from 10 months. Use it as part of a mixed diet alongside solid meals, and as the natural next step after Stage 2 or any other follow-on milk when the bottle no longer quite fills your little one up.
Around this age, babies turn into small explorers: standing, cruising, tasting everything at the table. HiPP German Stage 3 keeps up with a creamy recipe that satisfies an age-appropriate appetite, thanks to specially selected organic starch alongside the lactose. Iron stays high for healthy blood and a fast-developing brain, prebiotics and probiotics support the tummy, DHA at 13.6 mg per 100 ml (3.4 fl oz) supports brain and eyesight, and this clean organic recipe contains no added sugar, no corn syrup, and no soy.
This delicious follow-on milk is crafted in Germany and certified EU Organic (DE-ÖKO-001) with the HiPP Bio seal on top. It comes in a 600 g (21.2 oz) box with a resealable inner bag. The label is in German, so we translated the preparation instructions, feeding chart, and ingredient info into English here.
This formula is rated 4.9 stars by parents in our store. "He loves it so much, he will run to his bed when he sees us with his bottle! Great product! His tummy is happy!"

What Makes This Formula Special
By 10 months, mealtimes look completely different from newborn days. Purees, finger foods, and family-table bites do part of the work, but milk is still a cornerstone of your baby's nutrition. HiPP German Stage 3 is tailored for exactly this stage: a little more protein for growing muscles, specially selected organic starch that makes the feed creamy and satisfying for an age-appropriate appetite, and lactose still leading the recipe as the main carbohydrate, the same sugar as in breast milk.
Iron deserves a special mention. Toddlers are famous for unpredictable eating days, and iron is one of the most common gaps in their diet. Stage 3 keeps iron high at 1.0 mg per 100 ml to support oxygen transport, energy, and cognitive development, while calcium and vitamin D work together for strong bones and teeth that are getting plenty of use.
The heart of the recipe stays COMBIOTIK, HiPP's synbiotic combination of prebiotics and probiotics. The GOS prebiotic fibers feed the good bacteria already in your baby's gut, and the probiotic culture L. fermentum, originally found in breast milk, adds to them. HiPP also uses Metafolin® instead of ordinary folic acid, a natural premium folate in the same form found in breast milk, directly available so every little body can use it right away.
This formula carries EU Organic plus the HiPP Bio seal. EU Organic is the legal baseline: organic feed, no GMOs, and EU animal-welfare rules. The HiPP Bio seal goes further and means extra lab checks for purity beyond what organic law requires. That is why every box also stays free of artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives.
Stepping up from HiPP German Stage 2? The transition is seamless: the same organic COMBIOTIK base and the same mild taste, now a touch heartier for a bigger appetite. Prefer a large can? HiPP Dutch Stage 3 offers the COMBIOTIK idea in an 800 g can from around 10 months, usually the better value per gram. And from 12 months, HiPP Dutch Stage 4 Junior continues as a toddler milk for the next phase.
Safety, Quality and Animal Welfare
Every batch goes through up to 260 safety checks before it leaves quarantine, from the raw materials to the finished box. HiPP tests for far more residues than the law requires and packs a batch only if it meets HiPP's own tighter limits. This formula is made in a climate-neutral HiPP plant, and the cows used for this organic milk are raised under EU organic rules and spend as much time as possible outdoors, grazing on pasture.
EU baby formula follows strict European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) rules, including required DHA, staged iron by age, and no corn syrup solids. Those rules are a higher bar than FDA formula standards and apply to all EU and UK formulas we carry. Read more in our EU vs US formula guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
What age is HiPP German Stage 3 for?
It is a follow-on formula from 10 months, used as part of a mixed diet next to solid meals. It follows Stage 2 or any other follow-on milk, and from 12 months, HiPP Dutch Stage 4 Junior is the next toddler milk.
What is the difference between German Stage 2 and Stage 3?
Stage 3 brings slightly more protein and a little more organic starch, so the feed is heartier and keeps a bigger appetite satisfied. Iron stays high, and the organic COMBIOTIK base and mild taste stay the same, so switching is seamless.
Does this formula contain probiotics?
Yes. HiPP German Stage 3 is a COMBIOTIK formula: GOS prebiotic fibers and the natural probiotic culture L. fermentum, originally found in breast milk, work together to support a healthy tummy.
Why choose this over plain cow's milk?
Stage 3 adds iron, DHA, and a full vitamin profile that plain milk doesn't, which is welcome insurance during the picky-eating phase. Many families use it as the bridge between infant formula and regular milk, always as part of a mixed diet.
How long does one box last?
The 600 g (21.2 oz) box makes 44 bottles of 100 ml (3.4 fl oz), using the included scoop (4.5 g per 30 ml of water). Once opened, use the inner bag within 3 weeks. Our formula calculator shows exactly how many boxes you need for your little one's age.

How to make a bottle

Preparation for HiPP powdered formulas:
- Wash your hands and sterilize the bottle, teat, and ring. Clean them thoroughly.
- Boil fresh drinking water and let it cool. Do not prepare the formula with boiling or very hot water, as this may damage the natural lactic acid cultures.
- Pour the correct amount of cooled boiled water into the sterilized bottle (see feeding chart).
- Measure the recommended amount of powder. Fill the scoop loosely and level off. Add the powder to the water. Scoop size: 4.5g. Use 1 scoop per 30ml water.
- Close the bottle and shake vigorously until the powder is fully dissolved.
- Cool to drinking temperature, approximately 37°C (98°F). Test on the inside of your wrist before feeding. Always prepare fresh for each feed and discard any leftovers. Close the inner bag tightly after each use. Use only the measuring scoop supplied in the box.
Important Information:
- Only use the scoop provided in the pack.
- Do not make feeds weaker or stronger than indicated by adding extra water/scoops, and do not add anything else to the milk.
- Always freshly prepare formula and do not prepare in advance. Use immediately, and discard leftovers at the end of the feed.
- Do not heat a bottle in a microwave, as hot spots may occur, which could cause scalding.
- All opened formulas should be used within 21 days. Never use a formula beyond its expiration date. The expiration date on the formula box/tin is listed according to European standards: day/month/year
- Avoid storing in areas of high heat or humidity.
