Holle Organic Goat Formula – Stage Pre (400g)Age: Birth to 6 Months |
|---|
PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

First wash your hands and clean the bottle, the teat and the ring thoroughly. Holle uses a two step water method, so the water goes in twice. Follow the steps in the picture above.
- Boil fresh drinking water and let it cool to about 50 °C (122 °F).
- Pour half the water into the bottle. See the feeding chart below for the full amount.
- Add 1 level scoop of 4.4 g for every 30 ml (1 fl oz) of the full water amount. Fill the scoop loosely and level it off with the back of a clean knife. Use only the 4.4 g scoop that came in this box, because scoop weights differ between brands and between stages.
- Close the bottle and shake vigorously.
- Add the rest of the water and shake well again.
- Let it cool to drinking temperature, about 37 °C (98 °F). Test a drop on the inside of your wrist. It should feel warm, not hot. Now it is ready.
Half the water first is what stops the powder clumping. Adding all the water at once still works, but you will be shaking a lot longer.

Suitable from birth, either as the only milk or to top up when breastfeeding is not enough. You can give it on demand, as often and as much as your baby wants.
In the first week, follow your doctor's instructions rather than the chart. Holle leaves that row blank on purpose. The chart below starts at week two.
What makes Holle Goat PRE different
- Whole goat milk, naturally high in beta-casein A2. That is a property of goat milk itself, not something added.
- Lactose is the only carbohydrate. No maltodextrin, no starch, the same as breast milk.
- No palm oil. The fat blend is sunflower and rapeseed oil only, which is unusual in European formula.
- Algae DHA and Mortierella alpina ARA, not fish oil, which is why this formula is suitable for vegetarians.
- Demeter goat milk, 67 percent of the box, from German farms. That is a stricter standard than EU organic on its own.
Important notes
- Make each bottle fresh just before the feed and give it straight away. Never reuse milk your baby has left.
- Stick to the mixing ratio exactly. Too much or too little powder changes the nutrition your baby gets.
- Never warm a bottle in the microwave. It heats unevenly and can scald your baby's mouth.
- Store the box in a cool, dry place and use it within the time on the pack once opened.
- The date is on the box and is written DD/MM/YYYY. So 05/09/2027 means 5 September 2027, not 9 May.
- Do not let your baby suck on the bottle for long periods. Frequent or long contact between the teeth and drinks that contain carbohydrate can cause tooth decay, so brush from the first tooth.
- The amounts below are a guide. Your baby does not have to finish the bottle. Small differences from day to day are completely normal.
Feeding chart
Always 1 level scoop of 4.4 g per 30 ml (1 fl oz) of water. This 400 g (14.1 oz) box makes approx. 30 bottles of 100 ml. Treat that as a guide, the exact number depends on how you level each scoop and on a little spillage.
| Age | Water | Scoops | Bottles a day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | Follow your doctor's instructions | ||
| Week 2 to 4 | 90 ml 3 fl oz = 100 ml ready |
3 | 5 to 7 |
| 2 months | 150 ml 5 fl oz = 170 ml ready |
5 | 4 to 5 |
| 3 to 4 months | 180 ml 6 fl oz = 200 ml ready |
6 | 4 to 5 |
| From 5 months | 210 ml 7 fl oz = 230 ml ready |
7 | 4 to 5 |
The grey line is the ready to drink amount you end up with once the powder is added. Fill the bottle with the water amount, not the ready amount.
The amounts and the number of feeds a day are guide values. Small differences from one baby to the next are completely normal.
